Hi guys,

i don´t know, where the error is.

I have a Beovision 7-40 mk 2 with a DVI connection.

While connecting a Video Audio Extractor to the DVI, i can see a very nice picture from the TV stick, but no sound.

I know, DVI doesnt provide the sound from the HDMI connect.

But i tried all other connection points where ic could plug in the chinch or AV cable.

I can hear sound if i switch over to V-MEM, where ich connected the AV connector AV3 (which is connected to the AV Extractor). But the i don´t see the picture.

How can i connect something (the Video source) to the DVI (HDMI of the fire tv) and tell the Beovision that the sound will come from somewhere else?

best regards

Did you try the two rca inputs above the DVI socket?

https://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/29314.aspx

Pressing PC on the Beoremote should give you picture and sound.

Should also be in the manual.

Hi Stefan,

yes, i have exactly the same back on my BV.

I connected the HDMI extractor to the DVI port and i tried also the two RCA above, but no sound.

And what i am missing - i cannot set the connection to DVI - only PC, AV1, AV2 etc. comes up.

But if a press DTV on my BEO4 - the picture comes up. And when i press V-MEM (Where the scart cable is in) then the tone comes up.

But i can´t make both running in parallel.

bytheway - i don´t see the Entry DVI on my screen.

Have you got a copy of the user manuals for the Mk2 BV7-40?

If so, I think that you need to go through the 'Connections' or 'Registering Connections' sections carefully so that you fully understand how to register an input, and select the correct audio and video inputs in the setup menus.

Hi

Problem is you have assigned DVI socket to DTV and put the audio cable in the socket assigned to V.MEM.

OR

Your TV has a digital tuner and you pulled out the DVI cable to use it with Firestick. But you did not disable the digital tuner in the service menu.

If the latter i false, check the Connections menu under MENU, OTHER OPTIONS, CONNECTIONS

Ravsted

I now see your question/post written in German. Your forgot a very important detail in your translation. The digital tuner.

You have to disable it in order to use the socket for other purposes. Do this at own risk:

Press MENU

To enter service menu press 0 0 GO

There is a menu somewhere where you can select DTV=No or HDTV=No or similar. This will free up the DVI socket.

Now you can enter the regular connections menu under V.MEM and set HDTV to DVI.

Audio and Video is now assigned to same source.

Hi Ravsted,

this sounds absolutely promising.

I saw a kind of menu like this, but it came up just once. Hopefully the 00 GO will work.

I will try this in an hour

Cross fingers.
