Would a BeoGram 5000 work with a BeoCenter 9500? What remote control capabilities would I have? I've got a chance to pick up the turntable, minus cartridge, for practically nothing, but want to make sure there'll some control from link rooms first.

Agree - will be fine. You obviously don't have the ability to move the arm by remote, just start and stop and pause, but I am a firm believer in listening to albums as the artist intended anyway!! Smile

I just picked it up this morning for $50.  Plugged it in and it works just as you described.   Thanks for the info!  Now I just have to wait forever to get a SMMC4 cartridge from SoundSmith so I can actually use it.
