Some of the keys of an Ouverture had stopped working.
Open up.
.
The contact foil.
Broken lead.
The cure. An experiment board and some miniature switches.
Measure and cut to size.
Mount the switches.
All in place.
Might work?
Backside soldered and mounting holes drilled.
Cut some tracks.
Wired.
In place, fixed with hot melt glue.
Mount display pcb.
Voila! A working keyboard.

Well, the whole front with the keyboard was/is delivered as one piece. The contact foil is not available as spare part.
I ordered a kit (35GBP) via Simon last year!
But still a great job Bo!

I paid 2 SEK, about 25 cent.

That's the fun of it!
omg... so much labor time to do that, especially running every single one of those tiny cables. I too would have just ordered the foil, or maybe even experimented with running jumper leads on the foil itself, but this was basically a complete re-engineering of the original design. Congrats on getting it working, though.

I found out later that this was the case, and i ordered the foil for another repair, quite expensive appr. 60€ with shipping.
Anyway it was quite fun to make your own solution, and the feeling of the buttons are more distinct than the original.
