Cleaned and checked CD50 and Beocord, BG working since 2 years, now onto BM 5000 and MCP,

The BM gets a little warm even on standby, the MCP has something with the Bass, treble display, it works but the value lines shows, flat no lines OK, increase shows 3 lines or non, same with decrease, Balance and volume shows all lines as should.

That's fine. You can only see if treble / bass is enhanced (upper LED lines), attentuated (lower LED lines) or flat (green only).

It's only 1 LED for the 3 lines anyway.

P.S. I know because I've just opened a volume display because of missing LED points. They are even worse than those in a BC7000 or so.

Probably will need some 0603 LEDs or even smaller to fix.

Opened the MCP for cleaning, no problems no dust.

Opened the BM, a lot of dust under the plastic cover with the big caps, someone has been working on the unit, missing a pair og screws and 1 or 2 screws not original, the plastic lever for activating the the open solenoid was broken, but the piece was there, epoxied the piece back, the play contact did not work, cleaned, works, cleaned the open contact as well, checked both with meter, checked solenoid OK, repaired the "brake" for the command panel, funny little mechanism, was a little bend at the top so the worm gear would not turn.

Adjusted the 5 V power supply and the no load current, the 5 V was 5.9 V before now 5.0, the no load was, left 7.2V, right 9.1V, now both 10.8

After assembly the open function still does not work, the solenoid is OK, the switch OK the plastic lever OK, will check when I get parts and open it again. The play function works.
