Duels:

I was beginning to think nobody drank beer any more.

Thanks for that reminder. Another Bay Area beer. A ā€œsmoked altbierā€ brewed over charred manzanita wood. Rapidly becoming a favorite. Sweet~Ish and smoky at the same time. 6-point-something ABV.

Ventured out to my local micro pub and discovered this gorgeous blood orange sour beer. 7.2% but canā€™t remember who brewed it unfortunately.

Surprise

Youā€™re allowed *inside* to enjoy a beer. Iā€™m insanely jealous.

Yes. Tables were well separated (2 meters) which meant there werenā€™t very many of them. But it was fun to be out again.

French joke...

Twist of the saying ā€œtout travail mĆ©rite salaire / all work deserves paymentā€ to ā€œall work deserves its beerā€

Reminds me the movie ā€œLes Ć©vadĆ©s / The Shawshank Redemptionā€...

I'm just sitting in my "Beobar" enjoying one of these Danish beers: "Birkebryg" - it is made with juice from a Birch Tree. A very nice fresh golden beer.

-and I bought some new chairs for the Beobar...

Love Dunkel/Dunkles style!  BTW, what if any is the relation between Widmer and Waldmann, besides the similar logo?

I too love the Dunkel! Not the most common beer in this area, this is from a German brewery and Wurstery. The only connection between the two breweries (other than the W) is that one provided me with a glass and one provided me with a crowler and after opening the cupboard, the two collided.

Todayā€™s blonde, with buckwheat and malt

A light and easily digestible beer

I still prefer the buckwheat dark beer

Looks really good.

Tonight Iā€™m on Jackhammer from Brewdog.

Powerful and bitter double IPA. (The clue is in the name). Gorgeous.

First post in this thread this year. Very good New England IPA from Mikkeller. The Danes clearly know how to do lots of things well.

Hey guys! Been a while since I have been around, but I just got done with the 24 hours of Daytona race with a new Porsche team and figured this was a fitting beer after a race that long. Big Smile
