I.am repairing a Beogram CD 3300 for a friend. The lid won't open. Only by hand. I already  have a new belt but when I opened the CD 3300 I discovered that also the yellow gear is broken (See the yellow gear on picture, CDX or CDX2 has the same part). Does anyone have such a part or knows where to get it?

Didn't get closer to the original than this:

10 teeth (as with the original) instead of 12.

It isn't soft. It's the resolution from printing. This one is printed with a 0,25mm nozzle with 0,1mm layer.

The filament is just PLA. I have different filaments, CPE+, Nylon, Pet-G and even TPU98-A for making flexiable bushings. (I print these for replacing the silicon version around transformers. The latter is more difficult to print.

If anyone wants to try an SLA-printed version of their CAD model for this please share it with me. I can try to have one made from resin in really high precision (and strength).

Printed with 0.25 nozzle with Nylon an 0.4 nozzle for PVA support (solvable in water) with very nice surfaces and details.

Nylon should be better resistant for forces and more durable.

It's rather difficult to take (iPhone) pictures from small and transparant parts.

Nice nylon parts! What printer are you using?

I have a roll of PVA sitting around for support but wouldn't you know it, my 2nd extruder has given up the ghost. Need to fix that first.

I have an Ultimaker 3 with 2 extruders.

Next to that I have placed a Printdry filament dryer. Nylon and PVA require a dry filament as these absorbs moisture.

Would you be prepared to share the file or print and supply the part at a charge of course. I am pretty stuck and have been searching but no luck.

I have the same part broken on my CDX-2.

Found the part on ebay and ordered it.Although the title does not list the CDX2, the description does.

Hi,
Are you able to support me how to remove the yellow gear?

The white gear blocks the way and I don't know how to remove the white gear.

Hi Beobuddy

I have just joined Beoworld and browsing through the archive I came across your post from last year.

I am currently trying to rehabilitate my old Beogram CDX and discovered the lid drive gear is stripped and needs replacing.

So I would like to know if you are still in the business of 3D printing this gear and what would you charge for it.  I am in Australia so you should also allow for slow overseas postage.

Thanks in advance

It appears the gear is available on thingiverse as both STL and Solidworks project, in case any of you want to print it yourself. (I am not the original author of this design)

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4627313/files

I needed to modify this design slightly to use it on a Beogram CD X. Main issue was the hole being too small when printed in PLA due to shrinkage.

EDIT: After further tests, this gear does not fit my CD X very well, so I suggest finding an alternative design.

Hi

i bought one from ebay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bang-Olufsen-Beogram-CD-X-Gear-Tray-Gear-/284132520177?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

The seller was really helpful and sent several slightly different versions. I chose the one that was closest and then spent about 40 minutes with a small triangular file to get the teeth the right shape to match with the larger gear. I also had to use a drill to enlarge the central hole very slightly. Then I also used silicon lubricant on the shaft and between the two gears.

So after about 90 minutes I have a perfectly working door. I don’t know how long it will last, but I have the others he sent me if I need them.

This gear is also used in Grundig 7550, Marantz Cd-34, Philips 104 and 304.

Simon.

40 minutes of filing and drilling.. Oh dear.

Hopefully a part closer to the original will be available very soon, Covid-situation allowing...

Mine are not for sale on ebay. Printed in Nylon and therefore stronger and more durable.

Finding this thread and reading the posts I have the nerve to ask a question pertaining to my CX-2 recently stopped opening its lid as it is meant to be.
A couple of days ago  I had rearranged the lineup of some “1Beo’s” and noticed that the CD player did not power up.
In order to check what went wrong I took a look inside after having removed the bottom cover and subsequently faced the impossibility for me to solve the problem: reading the warnings in the service manual as to sensitive parts I quickly put the bottom cover back, later discovering that there was a rupture in the AC cord. After again powering up the lid did not open automatically, but by helping manually I could play a CD .

However by opening manually the lid it produces a rattling sound.
Did I overlook something before closing the bottom
or were the gear suddenly the cause of the problem, in the latter case is it possible by now to obtain replacements?

Aad
