Well, these wont make me miss my sleep, Beocenter 2200 and 3300 are quite common over here, the S60 not so. Just checked your profile, impressive collection you have there, BTW where is your nearest B&O shop?

Cross your fingers and kick my but, Saturday evening a 2 year search and dream may become real, this will be better than any first price in the Price Draw.

GOT it, I have been searching for 2 years, it came up a week ago, no other bidders I think no one saw it, because it was listed as B&O 2000 Reel to Reel, and not as Bang and Olufson Beocord 2000, I am ready for a couple of Cubas HURRAY

Here with the lid on

Congratulations - how is the condition of the heads and are they quarter-track or half-track?

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

I dont know Søren, the only thing the seller told in his description was, that it plays through headphone jack and fast forward backward works.

These Recorders are extremely rare over here, Its the first one I have seen for sale on the bay for some 3 years, but considering the first pick, it did not see a lot of use, and no signs of abuse except for the cover, which in my opinion means, it was just standing there, and used to put things on it, not used to what it was made for.

I do not expect the recorder playing as a new one, or playing as a Revox or Teac, If it can play the same quality as my Bc 5000 stack cassette player I am happy, Funny thing is, there are a lot of Tandberg reel to reel for sale over here (US) they must have sold good in those years.

Ah okay, my 1800 definitely sounds better than cassette at 7.5 IPS, it's the half-track version with quarter-track playback.

I think that Tandberg tecks were used at a lot of Schools in the US back then - just like here in Scandinavia.

Found this one on Beophile http://beophile.com/?page_id=2764 maybe the spec sheet could be used in the product list, (PETER)

Polished with white sides (I don't think there ever was anything else?).

You won't find a better looking unit anywhere, it's the "new in the box" Beocord I won at a prize draw. It needs new belts to actually work, I'll do that if necessary.

I've given up on the idea to collect the rest of the system (have too many already), and it doesn't fit visually with anything else.

Although I have (had) dozen BG's it is my first BG from 400x/600x series. Few weeks in my flat and already my favorite piece of B&O.

I am smiling everyday when I take a glance at this beautiful Beogram :-)))

And the sound is also very good!

Do you own BG400x / 600x ?

Yes, I have a BG 6000 in very good condition. The reciever is a Beomaster 6000 4ch, speakers 4 x S60 and I use them every day.

When I started it yesterday, there were just light in 3 of 4 valves but with my magical finger managed to repair it with a gentle push. I use it together with Serie M speakers and  it sound much better than I expected. Nice. Heavy. Well-sounding. I miss a integrated radio though.

Well, if you are missing an integrated radio then you have to find nice Dirigent (Bandmaster), Grand Prix Moderne, Master de Luxe Present or something like that. These are beautiful radios from early 60's. I do not own them (these are at the moment on the top of my "Wanted" list) but I own Mini de Luxe 610 and it is also beautiful radio with a warm sound but only Mono.I think martin (dillen) has one nice sample on the bay right now...

Or you can try to find a matching tuner Minette 609K but I suppose it could be not so easy to find it quick. I was waiting for Minette for a pretty long time...

And I looked to your profile, nice "little" collection you own :-)))

except for when I listen to Music from a Sony Ericsson cellphone.

As noted above, my latest piece did arrive yesterday:  Beocord 8004.  There are a few small gouges to the metal, 3 or so LCDs are out, and one green segment of the right channel level meter is out.

But new belts and a cleaning from my service man and here she is.

And the full tower (top to bottom) to go along with the Beovox M70s:  NAD 4225 AM/FM tuner; Nakamichi BX300 cassette deck (and Sherwood iPod dock to its left); Beogram 4002 (with Soundsmith SMMC20EN); Beomaster 4000; CD X; and Beocord 8004.

Beautiful setup Rich, The framed pics fits right in there, even the "eye of the hurricane speakers" looks good there.

In the old forum someone changed all those leds with newer ones, and came out good as far as I remember.
