But maybe it is the price for two fronts, two rears and the sub Confused

Millemissen:

If that is the actual price for a set, I fear they won't sell many of them - especially not to non-B&O costumers.

I seriously doubt that's the price. You're not going to get upgraded BL4000s for nearly 5000 Euro's. The sub can't really be much more than £1500. I'd expect to pay around £2000 for the speakers.

BTW, this is the only negative B&O post I think I've seen you write, Millemissen :)

Hi Moxxey,

Big Smile

Please notice the 'if' at the beginning - worst case scenario.

Even Kiity would have no mercy!

I have heard other prices - see one of my posts above - but am still waiting for confirmation.

From what I have heard, the technical specifications of the new Beolab 8000 will remain unchanged, the only difference is the facelift (ribbed backside in wood). Does anyone have any clue about the other 2 new products that will be launched october 15th?

beoworld is getting boring, in the past we got at least photoshop pictures from members. If you look at the Apple community you will understand what I mean.

God forbid we are subject to that kind of silly mass hysteria!!

I don't need to see anyone's guess at what's coming, I can wait until the 15th for the real thing!

I'm somewhere on the middle on this - at a time when B&O is just about to release some lifesaving speakers with (hopefully) brilliant wireless tech there is very little advanced material on this site - maybe those with knowledge have gone elsewhere.

Imagine a Christmas when you were small, the magic, the excitement, the anticipation!!

Imagine it again where your mother told you every day from November all the way through December what you were going to get, down to the last detail!  Where's the magic in that???

No wonder its getting more boring here, thanks to members like you. Even on car forums, somebody is making a photoshopd or computer image.  It obvious that 2 days before the official release it makes no sense for photoshop images  i was more refering to 1-2 month before.

So ........... it seems that it's a BL8000 with an ALT on top and vertical wooden slats over the grill. Anyone got a different interpretation?

That's how I see it as well. I have to say that I do not like wood objects in general, so I am not convinced, but it's a matter of taste. I do like the other 2 though from what I can see.

Sort of the same here - depends on your décor I suppose. I'm still slightly fearful of the sight of a lens plonked on top though, hopefully it'll look better than I imagine.

Interestingly the teaser pictures and text on deserve.bang-olufsen.com imply that it is three speakers - not two and something else ... but there is hope in the file names "sneak2-" x1 and "sneak3-" x 2 ... so where is "sneak-1 " series ?

I think the "Versatile" one is for the rear/bookshelf/beloab 4000 replacement speaker...

...and the "Captivating" one is for the sub.

I agree this looks like the sub - the smaller picture shows a large diaphragm

and I solved their numbering convention.

sneak 1 2 and 3 are just the 3 pictures under each heading

so three new speakers

the wood seems a theme unto itself

the next two seem to be complimentary - with a sub-woofer and maybe some bookshelves to match ?

I thought that was clear, we are looking at Beolab 8000 replacement, Beolab 4000 replacement and a subwoofer that is tuned towards music, a big brother to the Beolab 11, maybe it will replace Beolab 2.

Only thing I am hoping for is an upgraded Playmaker
