• Re: BeoGram CD 6500 datalink issue ??

Hi Alf, That's a weird problem ! Maybe there is a timer set on the beomaster ? With the datapins installed, the only strange behavior is that it turns itself off ? No other random behavior ?

Damn, great job, I'm jealous of that look ! Happening right when I'm thinking about giving a bit more polish to the UI of my mod !

  • Re: Beolink 5000 E-Ink screen repair / mod

Hello, Thank you Lausvi for this nice review ! It has been quite a long time, much longer than I expected, but I finally took delivery of the E-papers I ordered. I now have 6 kits ready to ship and not reserved yet, and enough components to produce 5 more. These kits are completely identical to those shipped previously. I updated the installation manual to include the lessons learned from the first batch ( the main addition is a procedure to check that all signals are properly wired, that emerged

Hello, Shipping to Ontario would be about 30€. I'm still waiting for the delivery of more E-paper display before I can produce more kits, hopefully that should happen in the coming days ! I'll post here when I have more kits ready to ship

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 and datalink protocol
I read a bit more in Arne Rohde's blog and there's really lots and lots of interesting info and background in there. If you're in a hurry, Thomas, all you need to read is the beginning of the remote control page (https://beomikro.wordpress.com/fjernbetjening/) and Tom Jelsing's preliminary datalink draft from 1979 (https://beomikro.files.wordpress.com/2020/11/datalinkprotokol.pdf) and you know pretty much all there is to know for programming the BM6000
Well, I sent you an email through the system here, but never heard back...... But I am ok with the slight increase. I am also nearly moved to the new house, so will be ready by the time you get the next kits made. Mail has been changed, etc. Hopefully we can get in contact. I have no idea if you replied or not.
Hi, I answered to your email, and assumed you had received my answer. I just transferred it to your backup email address. Please confirm if you

Hello Thomas, Nice job ! Hope you get all the functions back in working order with your firmware. I believe your BM6000 does not implement the "new" datalink (86) , but rather the older version ( someone correct me if I am wrong ). I have a Beosystem 5500, which implements both, the "old" version between the beomaster and the beogram / beocord, and the "new" version between the beomaster and the auxiliary devices ( speakers, remote, etc ... ). I have spent some time
