  • Re: 9500 Master Control Unit ?

With a 2-way remote (and compatible BeoCenter like the BC9500), the Beocenter can also send IR signals back to the remote. This is helpful to confirm radio station setting, CD track number, volume etc. With the BC9500/BL5000 combination, 2-way IR also lets you programme timer play/record settings over a full weekly time period, rather than the more limited (24 hour) timer functions that can be accessed just from the front panel.

  • Re: 9500 Master Control Unit ?

Hi and welcome to Beoworld! In answer, no! I think many were supplied with the two-way Beolink 5000, but if you are happy with a one-way remote then a BL1000 or the later Beo4 (any version other than 'Hotel') are fine for all the day-to-day controls. (The BC9500 will not work with the other Master Control Panels MCP5500, 6500 etc, but I think it works with BL7000 - hopefully someone else will confirm)

  • Re: Beocenter 9500 tape mechanism problems

Are you sure that the new belts are the correct spec and (without the correct manual) fitted correctly? If you buy your belts from here they come with full fitting instructions for your type of cassette deck (version 1 or 2): https://www.beoparts-shop.com/product-category/beocenter/beocenter-9500/

  • Re: Beolab 4000 stands and other placement options

I use the table stands with my BL4000s. I bought them new for about €40 at the same time that I purchased my speakers. They are certainly substantial enough to hold the speakers firmly at the slightly tilted back angle - it matches the tilt angle of the BC2300/Ouverture series and I have used them with that in the past. They have rubber feet and additional rubber pads to protect the base of the speaker. They also hide the cables well. Here's a photo of my current setup on a wooden bookcase

  • Re: Beosound 4000

It is worth trying A.OPT 4, but I don't think the BS4000 supports this as only A.OPTs 0, 1, 2, 5 and 6 are mentioned in the setup manual. You could of course put the BS4000 in A.OPT 0 so that it no longer responds to any IR, but you will of course have to operate it from its front panel. Instructions for how to set the A.OPT are found here: https://www.beoworld.org/beotech/mlsetups.htm But when programming the BS4000 make sure that the power supply to the BC2 is disconnected, otherwise you will

  • Re: Connecting a Beosound 3000 MkII to a regular amplifier

If you want to control the volume with the Beosound then this cable is the solution: https://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/110-329-5-pin-din-to-twin-rca-powerlink-compatible-to-non-bo-hifi-amplifier-receiver-etc-din-to-twin-phono.html#/2-length-1m

  • Re: Beo4 LINK command

^ That's useful to know for anyone else in the same situation. In the BV10 service manual it states: PUC TYPE ENABLED - DISABLED When ENABLED there is no analog tuner, no video distribution and no DVB. Used in BV10-32 US, type 9577, BV10-40 MKII US, type 9573, BV10-46 MKII US, type 9567 and BV8-40 MKII US, type 9563. So I am not sure how that relates to the problem, but am glad that you have found a solution!

  • Re: Beosound 3200 & Elipson Planet L

If you want to use the Elipson speakers (or any passive speakers) with the BS3200 you just need to add a Beolink Passive: https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=981 Connect it to one of the BS3200's Powerlink outputs with a Powerlink cable and it will turn on automatically with the Beosound. Here's one for sale (not mine!): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224788910864?hash=item3456769310:g:U~AAAOSwi9hhzbfY EDIT: I should have said that you won;'t need the IR controller as you will just
