I recently bought an Avant 32 VCR and while this is such a cool and well-designed set, the picture quality leaves me unimpressed and even disappointed. I used an MX7000 before and wanted to switch to widescreen.
In comparism the MX7000 has a far superior picture quality with Laserdiscs and even DVDs. It is much sharper and clearer and has no artefacts. Didn't they notice that back then as well?
I was told the Avants introduced digital artefacts and I was wondering if this is true and if there is a way to get rid of them or at least improve the picture quality?
