Hi all,
I have a Beogram 8002 but havnt used it yet as I'm waiting on my Beomaster 8000 to arrive and then I can set it all up and start spinning vinyl.
I was wondering If I can play Mono records on this setup without any ill effects or damage to anything?
Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. Do I have to change any settings on either the Beomaster or Beogram to play MONO records, or best to get a MONO specified record player for those duties?
I have read that you should use a MONO cartridge for MONO and a STEREO cartridge for STEREO if you want it optimised. B&O MMC range is STEREO?
I have a brand new Sound Smith SMMC3 that I will be using.
Thanks.
You should be perfectly fine with playing mono records on your BG8002. There no need to make any special arrangements as long as they are 33 or 45 rpm vinyl records.
//Bo.A long list...
Ok thanks.
Any thing need to be done on the Beomaster 8000? Is there a MONO button that needs to be pressed or something like that?
Thanks
Not really - the two channels should be the same so you shouldn't need to change anything.

But then clicks and pops will be stereo!
