I think that these headphones have something (a lot) from the Beoplay H6... To me they look like a small redesign of the H6 with the same luxurious soft leather, aluminium, and B&O technology.
So, could this Vertu compact speaker be a clone of the new Beoplay compact system to be announced soon?
The retail prices comparaison could give some hints as well : 490£ for V headphones, 330£ for H6, 400£ for V speaker, this could give less than 300£ for the next Beoplay compact speaker

Its not a box. But is meant to be very impressive, both in price and sound.
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
I'm sure it's not a clone of any upcoming B&O Play system.
If B&O Play comes up with a new compact system , I hope it will be a different design than this.

Michael I have asked a dealer this exact question and they said it's not being replaced. It is just normalising the price.
