Hi all :)

i've found an old Beogram 4002 for 100 euros with a working MMC20EN on it

the unit was faulty with the pickup won't go down on the LP. So if anybody has the same symptom perhaps you have the same problem.

all the other things was working well the cell seem to sense the LP but no noise when the pickup must go down.

after opening the unit and checking the system

something was wrong with the electro magnet

there's no plunger!

it was broken

so the only solution here is to rebuilt it from scrap

cutting the old metal tip

the diameter is 2mm

drilling a new hole in the plunger

and add a new metal tip inside

checking the plunger lenght

And back inside the beogram

adding some grease and checking all the other things.

now it works well for my own pleasure :)

I love when a plan comes together
