So my brother found for me a Beogram 1001,

It will be a perfect match to Beomaster 1400

unfortunately besides belt problem it also came without the tonearm weight, which seems to be a common problem.

Now I'm worried!

can it be made? Has anyone tried to DIY a home made counter weight?

what are the characteristics ? Is there an alternative from other brand?

thanx for the help

You can get one from another donor that's about to be scrapped.  Sometimes they come up on the usual auction sites.

I think a member here has made a replacement counterweight but can't remember who - possibly Leslie.  shouldn't be too difficult on a metal lathe.

Dave.
