If B&O put in the effort that they do with superior design, sound and vision in to their marketing strategy they might actually get some where.
When I browse the B&O Play website and you click on the drop down "Products" menu, you can't even see the V1 as an immediate click option. If you click on products you want to see all products immediately. Half of the visual real estate of the drop down menu says "See all products, accessories and special deals from B&O PLAY." This is a flaw and should be addressed.
There is also a penchant for calling their customers "users" i.e. "end users" which is a technical term and should never be used in my opinion in marketing brochures or information. It's like a developer is talking to you.
Beoplay is a webshop but you can't buy the V1 online.
I am not affiliated in any way. I just found some references in the site's source code:
The site is build on Sitecore CMS by Alpha-solutions.dk. They were awarded "Sitecore site of the year, Denmark, 2013" for the Beoplay site. You can read more about the case on alpha-solutions.dk.
I agree - there is room for improvements. I am not going to bore you with details. But the very first checkpoint in my book is the page title. It only says for example "s8" . Nothing else in the S8 product page title. That is a huge missed opportunity to drive search traffic.
Maybe the channel is not relevant to Beoplay... Or they rest on the past success with the Sitecore award.
