Beolab 4000 repair

Hello!

I just bought 3 pairs of beolab 4000 just to find that several of them have some issues.

Finally I found 2 good to use ( unfortunatelly not R-L and not same pair).

Issues are : - small electricall sounds to 2 of them

- big electrical sounds coming from electric outlet inside the loudspeaker - for one of them

- a continous electric whirring for one of them

What's your advice: B&O service or DYI ?

I hope you were informed about these problems before buying them.

According to my experience, buying defect beolabs is interesting if their value is above 1000 euros unless you make the repair yourself.

No, I wasn't informed, it was a package : BS 9000 + 6 BL 4000 taken from an working enviroment without any posibility to be tested.

 

Then it depends on the price you paid for the package.

Normal price, take your phone and call the seller in order to find a solution.

Bargain price, repair some and keep the rest for spare parts.

Seller is hard to reach so I have to find a repair solution.

My question is if I can try to fix some of them or better to call B&O?

Anyone know how much a bl 4000 repair can cost?
