Well, here I go again.  I have a cd7000 that I had not tested.  Went to use it and the usual track seeking start and stop nonsense.  I replaced all the capacitors as suggested by Martin and had previously done on my cd 5500 with great success.  Of course, the cd7000 was a replacement for my cd5500 which I sold, so I can not test it with the cd5500 servo board.

Now the cd7000 will do nothing.  With the cover off, I can see that the motor spins when I press play and there is no disc.  If I put in a disc, then it will not spin at all unless I slightly lift the spindle hold down.  Any thoughts?

I greatly appreciate any help

The deck hangs in four rubber supports.
Maybe they have crumbled so the deck is no longer at the correct height ?
