You all know about the 'Technical Sound Guide'.

Especially now - after the arrival of the Avant - it would be nice to have some (more detailed) information of the picture functions of the new BV's.

How about a 'Technical Picture Guide'?

Will we ever get that?

I am also interested an a BeoVision Avant ripping guide, so a document or web page which tells me what parameters to use when ripping a Blueray Disc, DVD disc or CD. For optimal quality when playing this then directly by the Avant retrieving the media file from the NAS.

For instance when using Handbrake on a Mac for the ripping/converting.

Or should I just use the Apple TV presets of Handbrake?

Just search for them. There are plenty of those out there!

But no 'Technical Picture Guide' from B&O.

Well, now I have an Avant55 and it shows that I really need a ripping guide.

As the Avant does not automatically use the correct aspect ratio for HomeMedia.
