Just a couple of days ago as I brought my stored Beocord 9000 out doing the  levels calibration using a 200nWb/m TAPE an abnormal behaviour was seen when my hand got nearer trying to readjust the R160/R260 on the audio board, ONLY the needle of the right channel of the measuring DB meter increasing  in level without even touching the VR. In order to have both channels having the same output levels of 660mv I have to purposely adjusted  the right channel output to as much as 700mv  to compensate the induced level to have  them equal when I removed my hand.

What causes this abnormal behaviour?

I was just wondering why the induced phenomenon only happened to the right channel and not to both channels?

I was using a ceremic screw driver for this calibration!
