Hi all,

I've become increasingly frustrated at the omnipotence of social media and people retreating into their phones in social situations, which is ironic and quite rude (I find people taking photos of their food whilst out to be especially irritating).
Anyway, each to their own, and I'm obviously getting old, but I want out. I barely do any of that anyway, but seem to get grief from friends that I'm not on this platform or the other, etc.  I want a phone I can make and receive calls on, occasionally text message, that looks different, and doesn't run twitface et al.
Looking for a Serene, very good condition, later model if possible.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Had both - the Serene was the least reliable phone I have ever had - the motor kept trying to close it when it was closed - went back to B&O twice and eventually taken back by excellent dealer (Thanks Newcastle) as unsaleable. It has the most bizarre camera - almost impossible to take a straight picture - so you just don't - and it didn't work with any other device I had. I had a Serenata for a short trial - it did play music well - for a phone! Apart from that it had almost no redeeming features except it was quite tactile.

If you really want to go minimalist, get a Nokia 3210 - once common so plenty around - I think I have two! Indestructible - I flushed one of mine down the lavatory twice (not on purpose!) and a dry out and it still works. Buttons a human can use, nice sound, pleasantly substantial, exactly the right size and cheap. No social network etc. Smile
