Hi everyone,

I recently acquired a very nice turntable Beogram 3000 type 5228. As it comes with 5 Din socket I had to buy an adapter to try it on my amplifier (Marantz). As soon as I plug it it makes a loud Buzz on a normal sound level. So I thought it was not properly grounded but when I look in the 5 DIN socket, everything looks fine. I mean, everything is wired in.

Is anyone went through this problem once???

PS: my amplifier works well with my other Pro-ject turntable

Hi beranger,

I also have Beogram 3000 and I encountered the same problem. My amp works fine with the other turntable (Beogram 1200).  Anyone?

All best,

Julie

Did the adapter come with a ground connection. If yes, try with an Ohm meter if there are continuity between DIN 5 plug metal housing and chassis BG and chassis amp. If no continuity try to connect a ground wire from BG to amp. If you dont have a meter, just connect a ground wire from BG to amp
