I just wanted to share something with all the 8000/8002 owners out there. You may know this trick already but I had lost my spring and I just took a spring from a ball pin pen. cut I to the properly length and it works fine. This is the spring to discharge any static on your body may have during the use of the BG 8000/8002.

I also make it a habit to touch my stand to discharge myself before touching and gear in the audio system. You can have up to 3500 volts (confirmed this during ESD test at my last job) stored on your body during low humidity days/nights before you will actually feel it and alot more when it hurts! I have heard loud pops through the system when touching volume knobs or turntables before I used to do this before discharging myself.

Hope this helps!
