Hi,
After the recent update (v1.0.8.36550) I'm having some issues with my Beovision 11:
1) The sound is distorted! It's very, very slight, but definitely noticeable with my Beolab 9s but also through the TV itself. I've verified this on different inputs. This is a huge problem as the update effectively destroyed my music system.
2) The source button for Spotify now restarts the Spotify app, instead of turning on the screen as it did before the update. How do I turn on the screen? Or better yet, is there any way to prevent the screen from auto-dimming?
3) Switching between speaker groups is now painfully slow with the BV11 taking 3-4 seconds to respond to the command. Update: resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting power.
4) Rotating the stand left or right still affects video playback by rewinding or fast-forwarding respectively when the video playback interface is displayed. This is a bug that has been in the software for some time now and it's a problem when I begin to play a video and want to adjust the TV's position. I.e. the left/right buttons serve two different functions simultaneously in this situation.
Have you guys noticed these things and have you found any fixes for any of them?
I have an issue after the update with the picture is stalling for about half a second every few minutes. Very annoying. I'm using the inbuilt digital Cable TV tuner with CI+ CAM module and wrote to B&O about it. I am waiting for their reply. Hope it can/will be fixed in a next update.
BeoVision 11-55, BeoLab 8000, BeoRemote One BT, AppleTV 4, 2x BeoPlay A2, BeoPlay A1
3) was resolved by disconnecting the power. 2 and 4 are not, of course.
Not sure about the distortion. Too late to listen to it now. Will see tomorrow!
I was hoping the "CD" source signal would also be sent to my Beloab 5s so I could listen to a digital source this way. But apparently it is not, My beolab 5s are not auto-sensing the SPdif input.
Selecting CD as source brings up spotify on my BeoSystem 4 - and also resets the app when selected again. I think that bug is worthy of escalation and a hotfix.
@kimchr
Sorry for investigating - but how is your system set up?
Which components do you have - from which source do you have the BL5's connected via spdif?
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi MM
I have a standalone Beosystem 4 with Beovision 12. BL5 are connected to the Beosystem 4. My overture has been stowed away since I upgraded from BV7, because I was too cheap to invest in the ML/NL converter.
But that also means i can't use my Mini Mac/TC electronics combo to drive my BL5s digitally. Or at least I havent found away. Well of course I can set the speakers in option 4 mode but it would be much more convenient to have the Beosystem 4 send the CD source signal to the speakers. Somehow...
????
I suppose that you are using the BL5's for the BSys4 (PL) and for the MacMini combo (spdif) - and that you want the BL5's to react to the CD command solely for the use with the Mac...
Yes, that would be very nice...
I thought, that the BL5's react to the command 'Radio' if connected to a non-B&O system?

I have the exact same problem. It can be improved by setting the judder cancel to adaptive in the picture settings. Nonetheless, B&O seem not to be capable to release bug-free software. Every new firmware, really every, has had new bugs. They are so incompetent at software programming that it hurts.
How diffiicult can it be?
