Hi, I am looking for a budget cartridge for my Beogram 4500 which was originally fitted with a MMC4 . Do you have any experience with AudioTechnica models?

Thanks

Welcome to Beoworld.

Why do you want to move away from B&O cartridges?  The 4500 BG is designed to take the MMC1-5 range which if damaged can be repaired to any spec from MMC1-5.  Without serious and damaging surgery to the tonearm, how do you propose to put on an alternative cartridge?

'Budget' is not the way to go with a BG4500 turntable.

Dave.

Thanks Dave

I just want to sell or swap the BG 4500,  but first   want to make sure it is still working without spending too much money on it.  The original cartridge was badly damaged  years ago . Moreover, I have no vinyls to listen.
