Hello all you Beovision Avant 55" owners,

Just want to share this with you guys.

I got my tv around two months ago and was very happy with the whole setup, picture, sound and feel.

But then completely out of the blue, came some problems with the picture, best described as vertical lines on the top and center of the screen like back in the VCR days where you must adjust the "tracking" to get the picture right.

It was visible on all input sources like tv, Youtube & Apple tv, but no buzz in the sound which was alright, only the picture was wrong.

This error have been there two times, with around 14 days between them - called my local B&O dealer who contacted B&O and came with a possible solution to change the frame-rate Converter.

Just had a visit by a B&O specialist who came and replaced a "Frame-rate Converter Module" took around 10 mins and every looks fine, like before so now I hope the error dosen't come back again.

Despite the defect, an overall good experience with service performed from himYes - thumbs up

So I hope this error was a "lone wolf" on my set and no other issues will come to me.

Still a proud owner of this fantastic tv Big Smile

Cheers...

Hello

Can you explain me how the "Frame Rate Converter" is working ?  Is it 100 % automatic ? or can you choose some frequencies ? is there any parameter to adjust ?

Thanks for your interesting post

I'm not sure for what that module exactly does, but it's 100% automatic and with no setup options.

The new module looked a little different from the one in my Avant, maybe they have changed someting (for the better, I hope) no ekstra adjustment was made to the set - it was just plug and play...

The service guy didn't know anything more about it, he just got from Bang&Olufsen and sent to my doorstep for the work.

Your very welcome.
