hello,
recently switched mine beovision with a new avant. everything was coupled in a ml.so the sound was playing with no delay, tv sound or radio or net radio, media.etc also on mine beolab 3500.(linkspeaker)
with the new avant the use of ml was absolute, so a converter was installed. With the install of the avant, actually the beo sound is absolute , with all the options in the avant.
But , with the converter installed, I have a sound delay in mine ml link system through beolab 3500.
With mine beosound5 playing there is a sound delay, since the converter. But with the tv playing and press the mute button on the 3500 no delay, withe the radio(beos5) with mute there is a delay.
But when I am playing the avant with net radio, or net media there is no delay throug the converter into my ml link.
So before nl/ml converter everything was playing in sync, Beovision, beosoun5/master, beolab3500.
Solution's are welkom
You'll need to install the NL/ML Delay box.
Didn't your dealer/installer advice you to do so?
And there might be some settings in the NL/ML Converter to adjust as well.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thanks,
we talked about that, i can understand the delay box, but i wonder, wy there is a delay, when i am playing the beosound through the converter to link speaker (3500) in the kitchen.
But with avant on playing tv, push the mute on the 3500 there is no delay. also when i am playing the avant with net radio,or anything else there is no delay.
So everything playing from the avant to the link speaker pushing mute there is no delay.
But when i push tv or radio or media on the beolab with the remote4 there is a delay.
we cannot figuring out why, and even with the delay box, will the sound from the avant in sync, only when i am playing from beosound 5 everything is out of sync .
strange??
Hi,
I am not sure i understand what you meen but if you connect ML from BS5 to your ML-system and to ML on your NL/ML converter you have no delay on your ML system (all in sync) but you get a delay from your bs5 to your new avant because of NL/ML converter have a delay then it converting to networklink so if you listen to bs 5 thru avant speaker or speaker connected to avant you get a delay and because of that you have to have a delaybox between bs5 and your ML-system and NL/ML converter have to be connected directly to bs 5 Before delaybox
tompa,
It's abracadabra, the link speaker plays without delay, when I am using the avant as net radio or play my music from a nas,or Apple tv. using the avant a main source Also no delay when playng tv sound to the link speakers
when i am using the bs5 as source all is with a delay. radio, nas server, etc
the connections are bs5 and master withe the link speaker in a link system off course.
The ml connection in the nl/ml/ converter with a nl cable to the avant
so a delay box should solve the problem? even what source i am playing
thanks so far
"when i am using the bs5 as source all is with a delay. radio, nas server, etc"
Compare to what? you don't have any speakers connected to BM5/bs5 ?
If i understand your setup WITHOUT delaybox you get delay from bs5 then you listen in avant speakers compare to link speakers -this problem delaybox solve, if you listen to sources on avant avant compensate by itself so sound is synchronice between avant speakers and link speakers because avant have built "delaybox" bs 5 don't have this therefore extern delaybox needed
Hello,
As i speak, a delay box is ordered.
You gave the answer, it felt strange, because the sound from the avant is through the nl/ml converter withe no delay.
But when i am playing the bs5 there is. And that's in a ml system.
Thanks for the explanation.
