I was curious if anyone "in the know" can share with the forum how well the "trade in your old TV" B&O campaign went?

Here in the States, anyone could bring in a television, working or not, for a $1500US credit to purchasing an Avant or a Beovision 11-46. I can't recall if there was a similar one mentioned Ex-US.

Hi Sal,

I'm not particularly sure how the campaign went but they have offered similar things in most markets:

> For a while they were giving complimentary BL14s

> They offered the $1500 US Credit, and I think the other markets were 1500 EUR, 1750 Aussie dollars, and 1850 CHF .  On the B&O You Tube page it has all the offers

:-)

In The Netherlands they traded in on buying a new BeoVision 11. That was end 2013, early 2014. Indeed following the deal with the free BeoLab 14. But please remember the BV was a lot more expensive at that time then now. I believe the deal ended when the Avant arrived, and the BV11 price dropped.

I bought my BV halfway through February 2014 and traded in an old Sony Trinitron TV. It was my sisters television, I gave her my previous BeoVision in exchange. After installation of my new BeoVision 11 the installer left, and I forgot I still had that old Sony in my car. Clever guy the installer. So I had to bring it to the tip myself.

BeoVision 11-55, BeoLab 8000, BeoRemote One BT, AppleTV 4, 2x BeoPlay A2, BeoPlay A1

Thanks for that insight. I wonder how people reacted when they actually found out the total costs after adding stand options, installation, accessories, etc... is the discount worth it? And did dealers tack on any other discounts on top of the trade in?

I imagine that it would have been pleasant as they give you a quote for the TV anyway and then you would see the discount and think oh good i'm getting the stand for nothing :-)
