Hi,

I have a BS 3 that had a top panel malfunction several years ago. B&O replaced the panel free of charge, but it has now gone again. As this is clearly an issue with this design, is there any chance they'd fix it free again even though it's out of warranty?

Thanks,

Steve.

Steve,

you could try your dealer's goodwill as this is a known issue.  They may just charge you labour.  It can be fixed as a DIY project as the top panel is sometimes available on eBay.  See this thread:

If you search the forum for 'Beosound 3' you will find others with the same issue - also via Google.

Dave.

Thanks Dave,

Unfortunately the dealer that last dealt with it, Rex Radio, have gone, so looks like I'm stuffed.

I've read the thread you linked to with interest, I wonder if anyone else had any success with the electrical contact cleaner.

Best wishes, Steve.
