I have a Beosound Ouverture and the doors wont open fully and needs a bit of a push. Also I assume they should close automatically when playing? Is this a commen problem?

When playing my Beogram 3300 vinysl through the Beosound Ouverture I can't get the same volume as the CD player. I have set the volume to 72 which is the highest. I bought a Beomaster 6500 second hand, but it seems a bit redundant since everything is running through the Beosound Ouverture. Can I connect everything up to that?

Any advise will be appreciated.

Henrik, Buckinghamshire

The door runners probably need cleaning and lubricating as dust builds up in there.  Otherwise, it may be a mechanical issue.  Yes, they should close in operation.

As for the BG3300.  It does not have an inbuilt pre-amp (RIAA) so you will need to buy one to increase the line level from the BG3300.  Steve at Sounds Heavenly sells them.

You can use the BG3300 with the BM6500 as the 6500 has an inbuilt RIAA.

Dave.

Thank you Dave for your reply. I really appreciate it. Does that mean I can plug the Ouverture in to the BM6500 as well? Cheers  Henrik

Sorry, not correct.  He'll need a phono preamp.

Thank you very much. I will have to buy a pre amp. And I will try and see if I can lubricate those doors on my Ouverture. I hope its possible without having to take the whole thing apart. The doors open only halfway.

Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Henrik

Yet another error in the products section then:

I just wrote rubbish so deleted it!

However, there is an RIAA accessory part for the BM6500:

Good luck if you can find one or if yours already has one installed.
