Still killer looks and B&O Icepower - could be fun to try it out. What do you think? I know some people on this forum had some mixed experiences with its predecessor.

Yes, Just got to somehow get a couple for my wife and I to Australia!
The specs are great, I've had apple, and windows phone, now time to try an Android...
I have gone from a 5S to a Nexus 5 which uses KitKat 4.4.2, just like the Lumigon T2 HD. I don't regret the move.
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Quite happy with the current model.
Graham
I have to agree with Anders, I have a T2, and even if it is a nice looking phone, it does have irritating flaws (like a very unprecise keyboard when texting, screen going off in the middle of a call, and most of all a very average sound reproduction that made me wonder about IcePower licensing without testing the final product), and since I use my phone mainly for ...phoning, I don't see the point in having a new HD version. There were more urgent changes to be done, and I fear that T2 users won't have any new updates for their phone, now that a new baby is out.

Posting from iPad so no easy link for the above.
New phone looks identical to previous model. Later Android (Kit Kat) better camera pixel count, flash for 'Selfies'.
Not enough to make me want to rush out and upgrade.
Here's a review (in danish) of the Lumigon T2 HD. http://jyllands-posten.dk/digitalt/mobil/ECE6602415/test-af-lumigon-t2-hd-den-danske-smartphone/
And google translated:
Testing Lumigon T2 HD - the Danish smartphone
Smartphone
Lumigon T2 HD
Throughout the years I have been one of Lumigons biggest critics. The countless promises of a speedy phone and many other outstanding issues have led to that I in no way believed wholeheartedly in the project.
Lumigons founder and CEO , Lars Gravesen , and his dream of launching the world's first Danish produced smartphone has been hit by several challenges than he had imagined.
In May 2013 came Lumigon T2 in very few sales channels. T2 was a functioning 3G phone that the specifications did not live up to its competitors in the market. T2 was not a success, but Lumigon was , after all, finally a phone on the market.
Now Lumigon T2 HD so clear, and one can safely say that the Vikings are ready for battle in the smartphone market worldwide.
Specifications High performance
The performance of T2 HD should not be read in the specifications . The user experience is significantly better than what can be read on the raw numbers
The processor is 1.7 GHz Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon with Adreno 320 graphics processor It has 2 GB of RAM.
I have during the test period did not had the experience of that only in the case of a dual-core processor. The performance of daily use is far better than we usually see on phones with similar specifications.
In benchmark program Antutu scores Lumigon T2 HD around 20,000 points, which is about half of what eg LG G2 scores . G2 has quad -core processor.
Beautiful screen, but not Full HD
The choice of the name " T2 HD" is debatable , since the screen of 4.3 inches is not Full HD, but in the slightly lower 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is the same size screen as there is in the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. In daily use it is not a problem that the screen is not Full HD . The graphics on the high resolution screen still appears clearly.
In daily use 4.3- inches is a good compromise between the small and large screens , although for those with very small hands can be difficult to reach from the right to the left side of the screen with your thumb.
The viewing angle is good, and the colors appear fairly natural . The black color is at full brightness of the gray and white could easily be whiter than they actually are. Yet manages the screen to balance the relationship between the contrasts in a fine way .
The automatic light sensor is too aggressive for my taste. I think the backlight on "automatic" is turned down too low , as we have seen on the Nexus phones. We can hope that this is adjusted in a future update.
Lumigon trust also that much of the product that they adopt a screen warranty. So if the screen is broken, the customer can have it replaced once free of charge within the first 12 months after purchase. It is reminiscent of the service setup, Kazam offers .
Exclusive quality design
T2 HD follows the Scandinavian design traditions , and it is in my opinion a product that will lend itself brilliantly as representative abroad of " Danish design " .
Front and back are in tempered glass, Corilla Glass 3 , manufactured by Corning, while the sides are covered with stainless steel; . This smartphone is nothing that squeaks , and weight of 148 grams emphasizes quality feeling .
The physical dimensions are 127 x 64 x 8.7 mm . So slightly longer and thicker than the iPhone 5S, but a little bit wider.
Telephone agree right side has the volume buttons located in the upper half , while there is a dedicated camera button on the bottom . Well hidden between the two parts is the gateway to nano -SIM card .
At the top is the power button , which simultaneously is the IR-sender/modtager . The bottom has micro-USB connector for charging with a standard mini jack for headphones. There is also a small hole to fit a strap to your arm. In the sales package is actually two lengths of webbing .
The front has a physical home button . Menu and Back are incorporated into the design below the screen , which gradually in other newer phones have disappeared and been a part of the display itself.
Just above the front speaker used in conversations , we find the so-called ActionKey , which is a programmable button. This we will return to later in this test.
Android with a few adjustments
Lumigon T2 HD is an Android smartphone with a total compensation of the Android system interface. In fact, the number of changes is relatively limited.
The original call function , SMS inbox , mail , camera , etc. maintained from Android's original version. This is a huge benefit for both the customers as well as Lumigon , as it is thus easier to upgrade to future Android versions .
Lumigon have incorporated a few of its own widgets , including a stylish watch and day, date and ugeangivelse . There are also a few wallpapers .
Bottom line supports four shortcuts as the fifth in the middle is reserved for the menu button. When the icons hit the shortcut bar , they turn into a black / white layout , which fits well with the phone's stylish look . The user can choose whether to be colors on the line, just as you yourself can decide whether the other app shortcuts on the front must have colors or keep in grayscale .
Our test version of the product runs on Android 4.3, but the phones that lands in stores will have Android 4.4 Kitkat . During the test period , the Lumigon also pushed several system updates , so we can confirm that their update system works.
On the web with Google Chrome
Due to the relatively pure Android version is also browser Google Chrome , the phone is born with. It's nice to not have to contend with alternative browsers from the manufacturer, as we see it on other phones.
T2 HD handles brilliantly even large websites and you are using is not left exclusively to surf the mobile-compliant pages.
Google has already removed support for Adobe Flash, making it not available on this phone. In return, you are delighted, smooth netsurf and interaction between Google's mobile browser and Google Chrome on your computer.
Data retrieved via either wireless network ( Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / b ) or 4G LTE , where the bands 800 , 1800 and 2600 MHz are supported.
I have been able to draw between 20 and 30 Mbit / s down- and upload via wireless networks, and between 15 and 20 Mbit / s on 4G network, which is tested against Telia. All in all, we denote this part have been approved.
Good sound in stereo
Lumigon T2 HD has speakers for music and handsfree conversations located at the top and bottom , and these play honorably . HTC One still in my opinion the best speakers , followed by the iPhone. Lumigons phone ranks among the best in third place , good sound with reasonable fullness without being shrill .
For the test says Lumigon to MereMobil.dk the product before sales start will be fine-tuned audio portion further .
Incidentally smart to place the speakers on top and bottom and not on the back. That way it does not matter how the phone is oriented in his pocket . The sound always comes out the top of the pocket and will not choke deep into the fabric.
Includes a set of stylish in-ear headsets with in-line microphone that matches the phone's design. The wire is coated with a fabric material , and it is thus free of that which the usual rubber wire ends in the clean filter .
I 've been listening music via services Deezer and Spotify , with different headsets. The conclusion is that the supplied makes it reasonable , but the music enthusiast will probably buy another next door.
Amplifier chip , ICEpower, is provided by Bang & Olufsen.
All in all, a good sound , but in the test we saw that the equalizer only worked when music that was locally on the device. All audio be submitted through the chip from B & O. However, work is to embed an equalizer that will work on all outgoing sound in both speaker and headset output , said Lumigon .
The sound quality when TD H2 is used on mobile phone is quite nice and the other phones are also here an extra microphone used for noise reduction during conversations.
The world's largest internal memory
Lumigon T2 HD has no room for microSD memory cards , but it is also not necessary , since the internal memory is on the whole 128GB .
The most common in our market area is that the phones in stores have 16 GB of memory. This size is chosen primarily to keep the price down .
There are 32 GB products in the market, while only a few have 64 GB. 128 GB , we have not yet seen in the smartphones sold in this country.
Meizu MX3 is a Chinese product with the memory size. So they are out there, 128GB phones , but they are rare.
Point to Lumigon to make this huge memory available on our breadth Guards . The main disadvantage is that it takes about 25 minutes to reset T2 HD to factory settings. The reason is that the total memory is facilitated. It will also be possible to make a speedy deletion.
Lumigon also offers a 32GB and 64GB version of T2 HD.
13 megapixel Sony camera
The optics of the camera supplied by Sony. The resolution is 13 megapixels. Both the front and main camera uses Sony Exmor RS sensor.
Outdoor Pictures and photos when lighting conditions are good , you can certainly not complain about. The colors are beautiful , the focus is right, and the camera frames the focal point for macro images quite accurately .
Unfortunately, the optics are not very sensitive to light , so when darkness falls, or you are indoors in low light , there is too much image noise . The camera's greatest weakness.
On the front is a 2.4 megapixel camera that may well be described as the perfect selfie - camera, as it next to the lens is a photo light diode - an obvious innovation in these selfie times.
In camera mode, switching between video recording and photo camera, press ActionKey . Keep the button slightly changed instead between the front and rear camera .
Videos shot in Full HD resolution and it is possible to re- focus on a new point while recording runs by simply tapping on the screen where the focus point can be. While the camcorder is recording, take photo snapshots.
This gallery is functioning , and besides being able to show the pictures of immortalized designs , there are also some simple but effective editing tools built-in.
Excellent for sms and messages
All well-known e-mail addresses can be set up on this phone , but when using Microsoft Exchange , I miss the opportunity to see messages in threads . Gmail users will appreciate the smooth functioning of Google's mail application , as we know from other phones.
T2 HD has Android's default SMS app, but after launching suggests Android is that we should use Google Hangouts for SMS. I wonder if we should expect that Hangouts are the only SMS application for Android on the slightly longer term ?
There is an excellent keyboard that has well-functioning Danish dictionary . There is Danish characters on the keyboard as well as access to use Emojismileys . There is also a swype -like function where the word can be written by drawing lines from letter to letter .
Should you wish anything on SMS and message part , it will be that the keyboard also had the option of T9 function .
Small features with good sense
One of Lumigon T2 HD's unique features is ActionKey that can be programmed by the user's wishes .
During a call button , for example, put the microphone , activate the loudspeaker , add a call or call on hold . In normal mode, the button instance . activate the flashlight or open an app.
There can also be set up functions in terms of what should happen when the phone rings and button understands both short and long presses .
It is excellent and creative thought to do something as simple as an extra button to a key selling points.
Following the same idea , we find the Quick Touch, which is activated by dragging your finger on the screen from scratch , then custom shortcuts appears. There can be configured up to five shortcuts.
Lumigon has also included an app that turns the phone to the remote control flat screen , and thus exploited the IR sensor on top. In fact, the remote should also work on old and new Bang & Olufsen equipment , which , however, I have not been able to verify.
Delicious dock in the sales package
The sales package also includes a delicious dock , designed in stainless steel. Along with this introduced Behavior Control.
Now you can define where the dock is located and what will happen on the phone when it is put to rest. Bed Room Profile activate mute, turn notifikationslys off, adjust brightness and more - even within specific days and times .
If you have multiple docks - maybe in the living room or on the job , they can also put the phone in different modes , depending on the situation .
Big points to Lumigon to deliver useful features that make a dock for much more than just a dock .
In addition there is also Hand Wave function where a motion with his hand in front of the phone can execute commands . It may be changing image in the gallery or snooze when the alarm rings . Calls can be answered by moving your hand over the phone. Smart enough if your hands are covered in something, and you will not touch the phone , but I have doubts about whether it is something you will use in everyday life.
Is resistant to water and dust , naturally
Lumigon follow the current trend and has made T2 HD water - and dustproof . The phone complies with IP65 certification.
Specifically, this means total protection against dust, but not to the same degree against water as Sony's latest phones or Samsung Galaxy S5.
Five centuries of certification means that it can withstand a certain degree of splashing with water , but it does not hold for a swim.
Compared with the standardization presented IPx5 as " Protected against water jets - Water projected at all angles through a 6.3mm nozzle at a flow rate of 12.5 liters / min at a pressure of 30kN/m2 for 3 minutes from a distance of 3 meters . "
For buyers , it's nice that the companies are gradually realizing that for satisfied customers whose phones holder for a little more than they did before.
A great successful bid
The mobile phone industry is a tough industry where those who do not have the volume and enough money, die before they get started. You call not just for Foxconn and asking for 10,000 phones or to Qualcomm and buy their newest chipset. It takes time and must be fought door to door just to be able to buy the components for the hardware.
And while there fought and negotiated extinguished components faster than contracts can be written , so from the beginning, to the rear - and development crowns gushing out of the box .
Mobile has proven components from Qualcomm, Sony and Bang & Olufsen. The screen comes from Sharp, while Hitachi has supplied battery and Elpida / Micron has been responsible for the memory part .
Lumigon will not tell where the capital is coming from, but in principle it is of course also interesting unless the product is in order.
I take my hat off and was impressed by the Lumigon T2 HD. Not just that, there have been a product of the company in South Harbour , Copenhagen . It is simultaneously also hugely successful . As Danes and Vikings of old , we can , whether T2 HD will be a hit or not, be proud of the bid to be presented.
The design and choice of material is brilliant, and the phone is impressively beautiful . Sales box is an experience in itself , and the charger is a little extra out.
Conclusion:
Effective with few challenges
Lumigon T2 HD is efficient and flexible in all parts of the product. No spontaneous reboots, no layer or mysterious crashes in apps. The phone runs much better than we dared expect with a dual-core processsor , and the large 128 GB internal memory getting competitors with 16GB to look like something from the past , even if they just landed on store shelves.
But there are also challenges. The camera is good but not fine-tuned yet . Physical front buttons and Menu / Back , as part of the design is "so yesterday " . But now that they are there, it 's nice that they work .
It is also well thought out, the front LED diode (and the back) could be used for notifications.
Lumigon has got some of the telecom operators to believe in the product, then T2 HD comes to the sale of some of these as well as through a number of independent online shops and sales channels. This means infinitely for a new product that operators dare put it on the shelf. After all, through this channel that most phones are sold .
The price of 5,449 without a contract , the 32 GB version (including dock , slings and in-ear headset ) , are enough to scare many. Conversely, it 's very few phones that can be disposed of with memory of up to 128GB . Although it seems expensive , I would remind you that many happily throw 6,199 million for a 32 GB iPhone 5S or £ 6,999 for the 64 GB version.
Grade end of five big stars out of six . You also get Lumigon T2 HD award " MereMobil.dk recommend" . Congratulations on a great effort. I 'm already looking forward to the next step .
Benefits
Nice design by Nordic traditions with good materials
Water resistant ( IP65) , dustproof included dock
Sensible camera, nice keyboard and reliable
Disadvantages
Not Full HD screen
High price
Not in top raw specifications
Personal experience with T2:
Sound optimised for telephone use. You need to download an App like Equaliser to get best music experience similar to Apple.
Battery life typically 24 hours with a mix of wifi web use and calls. Turn off the wifi if you are going to go somewhere where it isn't available to save the battery drain when the phone is endlessly looking for a non existent connection.
There is a very comprehensive 285 page guide for download from the Lumigon site.
Review above is a bit odd. Reviewer talks about having been a Lumigon critic for years. T2 only came out May 2013. Now updated after 10 months. I'm sure the new phone will be an improvement, but only fractionally. Price looks as if it has been hiked. The dock has always been illustrated on their site but looks as if it will be available now for the first time. Will it be available as a separate purchase?
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Chris Townsend:Yes it did, but I think it was more of a toe in the water test. Second one the T2 much better, but undone by the pace at which technology moved. I think the new T2 will avoid that by having a much better processor/camera etc, and of course the very latest Android KitKat OS.
I think the new T2 will avoid that by having a much better processor/camera etc, and of course the very latest Android KitKat OS.
Waste of time chasing technology. Small low cost cameras have now moved to 20MP+ so despite the advance to 13MP for the Lumigon it will already be behind the times in the eyes of many ( despite the current T2 taking more than adequate pictures!)
My better half once worked for a technology retailer: they estimated that products went out of date in about 6 weeks due to technological upgrades!

with the speed of modern technology I'm sure it goes out of date at the intial design stage

Razlaw:Thanks! Unfortunately, Lumigon will not ship to the US.
That seems odd as their web shop has USD as a choice and the terms and conditions tell anyone ordering from outside the EU what to look out for re customs and taxes. Maybe there is an issue with the US specifically.
i would agree it seems odd, and disappointing. I filled out the online order form, and as you mention USD is an available currency option on the web site. In the field where one's address is filled in, there is a drop down menu with a huge list of countries. "United States Minor Outlying Islands" is included in the list, but not the United States itself. I emailed Lumigon to ask about it and received a response to one of two emails I sent to two different email addresses on the Lumigon web page. The response was that the do not ship to the US. Seems very strange they would ship to US outlying islands but not the US itself.
As we know that Lumigon visit this forum and post here from time to time perhaps they could provide an explanation.
Didn't they imply in a previous posting that there could be a special price for Beoworld members? Couldn't they have a special delivery arrangement to the US for members too?
From the other Lumigon thread:
............Later this month T2 HD is released which is a major upgrade from the the T2. We will offer a special price on this forum so you all can get the Lumigon experience in your pockets :-)
T2 HD have the newest Android 4.4.2 with improved 4G Qualcomm performance chipset, 2 gb internal ram, 32-128 GB memory, 4.3" HD screen, included stainless steel dock in the package and much more.....
vikinger: ............Later this month T2 HD is released which is a major upgrade from the the T2. We will offer a special price on this forum so you all can get the Lumigon experience in your pockets :-)
Do we know that he is official from Lumigon??
mr_anders_son: vikinger: ............Later this month T2 HD is released which is a major upgrade from the the T2. We will offer a special price on this forum so you all can get the Lumigon experience in your pockets :-) Do we know that he is official from Lumigon??
Probably. Click on his name and read his previous posts.
I sent an email to Chazpro asking about US delivery.
Email sent from through Beoworld to Chazpro was returned as undeliverable. The email address it showed was @lumigon.com so must work there as was suggested.
The Lumigon newsletter sign up page does include the United States in the drop down menu. So they specifically will send their newsletter to the the US but not the phone itself? Seems rather silly.
Razlaw: So they specifically will send their newsletter to the the US but not the phone itself? Seems rather silly.
So they specifically will send their newsletter to the the US but not the phone itself? Seems rather silly.
That's got to be a mistake. They even ship to Iran!
I remember when we sold Avast software and UK users went to register, "United Kingdom" was the only country missing from the list of supported countries!
Have you tried emailing them at mail@lumigon.com ?
Lumigon phone must not have FCC clearance. Doesn't mean it won't work, but you cannot sell here without.
Referring to another thread, I am pretty sure that's the reason we don't have KNX products in US.
Try this contact for information:
I emailed sales@lumigon.com and mail@lumigon.com. Those were the addresses that resulted in the response back that they do not ship to the US. I did find one retailer in the US who sells the T2 and says they will also sell the the T2HD once it becomes available. So perhaps FCC approval is the issue.
I looked at the Lumigon web page again today. The order page now includes the USA as well as the individual states in the drop down menu so it appears they may now have started shipping to the US.
How long do you expect the Lumigon will be supported by software updates (operating system)?
Peter the Biker: How long do you expect the Lumigon will be supported by software updates (operating system)?
That's a bit like asking how long Lumigon will stay in business!
They do regular updates for the T2, but the website now seems to be focussed on the T2HD. For example, to find the manual for the T2, you can't see it on the Lumigon website (all references now seem to be to the T2HD) but if you do a google search for Lumigon T2 manual the manual (and FAQ's) can be found at http://lumigon.com/t2-faq/
Lumigon really need to put links to previous model pages on their website or customers are going to get the impression that there is no support for earlier products.
Beovision 11-55, BeoPlay V1 40, Beosound 9000, Beolab 8000's and 3 Beocom 5's...
I have also wondered if it would work with AT&T LTE. Looking online at what bands AT&T uses in the USA and comparing the Lumigon's specifications it does not look like it will work with AT&T LTE. Also, does not look like it would work with 3G. I would like to learn I am wrong about that and if I were, I would be ordering one.
Chris Townsend:I'm getting mine tommorow, so I'll try and report the specs etc. And of course the sound quality with and without the supplied earphones.
Coming from Denmark?
Were you offered a discount?
