Try: List > Speaker > Left or Right.

If by left / right you mean << or >> then not working I'm afraid.

I tried it on my 6500.   When 'Speaker' appears in the display you have to hit 'Go' twice and you'll see 'oo' on the receiver.  Then volume up increases the right channel; volume down increases the left.
