Hello guys,

I encounter a problem, with my BV7-40 MK6.

I have an OPPO BDP-93 connected, fully functional since I tested it on a projector with great picture quality. When connected to my beovision, I have a grainy image, with the same bluray (star wars 3).

I made a total reset of the BV7, but nothing change. Same with new HDMI cables.

I also have some flickering and blinking on the screen,

Any ideas would be welcomed, and for info, I have the following error codes

TV 0526 22-2D

TV 0501 22-2D

TV 0424 22-2D

Thanks for your help,

Best regards

Eric

I have these error codes also at my BV9. Saw them also this at a friends place with his 7-40 mk3. I think these errors (22-2D) has to do with teletext or something. Nothing with the grainy picture, that's for sure.

And for the flickering and/or blinking, I would suspect the cables either. What happens if you setup the Oppo for 720P or 1080i?

I have seen this kind of picture quality problems on some blu ray.

I don't think it is due to your screen but the blu ray.

If you take sin city blu ray you will find this issue. Make some search on google and you will see that you are not alone.

I tested with different bluray, even the same that is running in the B&O showroom that delivers excellent picture in the showroom, but on my bv7, grainy picture.

If i watch the bluray of Walking dead, I have this grainy picture due to the encoding method (filmed on a 16mm format )' but spiderman 3 or captain america, are top quality bluray ( i do not speak about the movie quality, but the picture quality :-) )

Hi

I made recently tests with a philips led tv and a bv 7 40 mk6 connected to a panasonic bdt 700.

The philips had these blinking issue until I remove the 100 hz function.

I didn't notice any issue with the mk6 unless I was using too much noise reduction and clearness correction.

I had also a big issue with an hdmi cable, I finally dump it.

I use actually contiental edison hdmi flat cables with hdelite hdmi splitter cable because of the length of my hdmi cables : no problem.

It could also come from the bad quality of the bluray.

Like the bl5 with bad source, the mk6 won't give you the best results with bad sources.

A grainy image is not really surprising with some bluray whatever the tv you are using. 300"is a really grainy br for example.

I suspect also interferences coming from the main cables or masterlink connections.

If the hdmi cable is not enough blinded, it could cause some issue.

Hello Nick,

Long Story for me, but with happy ending.  After 6 months and 4 repairs at home, my dealer send the beovision back to Struer, and they completely change the screen and not only the CPU and picture mother board.  After that, since 3 months now, not a single flickering of the screen.

I change nothing else in my installation, same hdmi cables, same connections, same dvd player and setopbox, It was a non identifiable problem, but they have done their job.

Hope it stay like this for the next 10 years.

best regards

Eric
