thanks to the patience of Steve at Sounds Heavenly with the cabling I now have my new (to me) BL8000 speakers installed and running.

Cables arrived next day delivery so very pleased with that - thanks Steve.

I ended up running a single long power link cable around the wall and split it out to each speaker with a small  junction box. That seems to work nicely. A bit fiddly as I didn't realise how tiny the cables were but got it done first time.

I'm more than happy with the sound from them - way better than my bookshelf speakers I've been using for years, even Mrs H says she likes the sound and they "look nice" so a win win situation!  I guess there are better sounding speakers out there but the combination of looks and sound are a winner for me.

the downside is I now have to get the lounge redecorated apparently as payback!

Steve is an absolute star and each time I have asked him a question he has always answered promptly and professionally.

I had a slew of "cheap chinese takeaway" cables, and i should have just contacted him in the first place.  The cables I received from Steve were superior and they just worked and everything did, as he says, sounds heavenly.

Glad that Mrs is happy.  happy wife, happy life as they say.

The lounge won't take long to re-decorate, but you'll have good speakers no matter the decoration :-)

Thank - they are the silver with black fronts (which I now understand are called 'frets' thanks to you guys :-)

Looking at paint colours tomorrow -yippee ! Shall we stick to the sand colour of the last few years years or maybe go for grey (the new black apparently) we'll see...
