Fantastic !

sounds even better than Beolit 12. Pairing is so simple as it should have been.

leather handle is thinner. Grille is simpler and not a perfect fit . Real moving button remove uncertainty of flush rubber B12 controls.

Recommended.

Could you post photos of the non-perfect fit?

The A2 and BL12 does not have perfect fit either. At least not on the ones I have.

Guess that is what you get from moving production to China.

The Beolit 12 was china produced too.

Fit of the grille may be the same as before but the edge more visible in downlighting like the shop.

my wife just mentioned the improved buttons !

Well iPhone6 is also produced in China and does not have such misalignments. I would return it honestly, price is premium and it has to fit flawlessly.

Your wife has a lovely positive attitude. I should probably take a learning from it. :)

If you're so happy with the sound then 1mm does not mean anything really. Enjoy and post more pics if you have time - I love Beolit 15 colors. <3

Very nice Simeonbeo. B&O REALLY NEED to market this to this new Champagne Gold MacBook Retina crowd that has just been launched!!! Bet this goes great with the white&champagne iPhone 6.

Seriously, a cross magazine promotion needs to go with the gold Macbook Retina and this! BTW The attention to detail of the new MacBook Retina 12" is incredible!

Let us see if the new MacBook will catch on in the business world where people use their computer for actual work, and not just dicking around..

It's probably not made for the 'business world' Leo, you've got the MacBook Pro's for that or iMac for the desktop generation. MacBook Retina is more suited to users like me who use a laptop as a media hub to keep all of my iTunes library of music and HD videos together and browse the Internet. Heavy HD video editing or graphic design would be more suited to a MacBook Pro.

Anyway, I really hope that the BeoLit 15 catches on with the iPhone 6 and these new MacBook Retinas. I hope that it's a huge success for B&O and this time around, the price is probably spot on!

I would have paid a bit more for a B&O version with beo4 compatibility and thicker leather handle/better grille. The grille is no longer anodised inside the perforations and the leather is no longer " Italian" . But overall , agreed , the lower price should help.

I noticed the word 'Italian' had been dropped when B&O were talking about its handle. That's a real shame as they made a real point of talking about it when they launched the 12 and surely, it wouldn't of added too much to the cost would it?

It's a shame that these can't be placed in Mulberry handbag shops and designer shoe emporiums. Having the there colours near to ladies expensive bags may lead to an impulse buy!

Shame the Play range can't be in say MINI dealerships too. I remember when I bought my fist MINI Cooper from Williams in Liverpool, they had a matching BV1 in yellow on the tall stand to match the yellow of the showroom. It looked great!

Also, i'm surprised that we haven't seen little B&O PLAY emporiums located in the coolest parts of contemporary cities. I know that Liverpool was indeed the fist place to have a 'tiny' Harvey Nichols etc. PLAY emporiums would be amazing in young vibrant cities! with the first in Barcelona :)

I've got bulges in the middle of mine

Mine is arriving at the shop in five days. Guess I will have to open it there and check it together with the seller. If it is not perfect, it is not worth the price. I have noticed some imperfections on my A2, so I will take my precautions with future purchases.

I hope that quality control at B&O realise this as this is so far removed from what B&O used to stand for.

Quite frankly, having big bulges in the middle of anything can sometimes be a bad thing :)

I'm just not sure if the A2 is supposed to be slab sided or bulge out

If I run my hand across it. It's definitely not flat. Is everyone else's flat or do theirs taper out ?

There's no issue with the edges and it's all screwed together beautifully it's just something I notice

I'm sure the slight curve/bulge in the A2 is how it is meant to be. All those I have seen in store are the same and it improves the tactile quality of the piece. Enjoy it.

I think it is quite possible to start looking for faults that aren't really there sometimes. I know I can sometimes do this.

I intend to get one myself but just can't decide which colour.

The very middle 10cm of the A2 is as near as makes no difference flat along the length but then it tapers.  If it was slab sided it would look like a brick and similar to too many other devices.  I think the curve was a good design.  I've just been holding a 12" ruler against it to look at it.

Dave.

Agreed. That's why I am living with it and enjoying it.

I haven't dared to try it in the bathroom yet. The A2 does a great job there Smile
