Dear all,
I have a Beocenter 6-26 with an Apple TV mk3 connected via a hdmi to DVI converter. Stereo sound is connected to the av3 audio inputs via a TOSLINK to phono converter. Sound and picture are very impressive as expected!
I'd like to control the Apple TV using the PUC. In the connections menu I've assigned V.Aux(STB) to the DVI input.
My issue is that when I connect an IR blaster cable to the PUC output socket on the the beocenter I'm getting a steady red flash from the inbuilt led on the blaster. Is this normal? I've tried with 2 separate IR blaster cables and found the same result. The Apple TV is not detecting any IR signal, even with the IR blaster emitter held directly in front of the Aple TV's 'IR eye'.
Both of the IR blaster cables tested with the Beocenter work fine with my Lintronic box. If the PUC is faulty I can just continue using my Lintronic box, but I had thought the PUC option would be a more elegant solution.
Hello LukeSpad!
In the Apple TV menu you can chose to inactivate the Apple TV remote.
If you don't do that, you can`t control it with the BeoCenter PUC.
I did have the same problem, i hope it helps.

or set the apple TV to learn a new remote (under settings and remote) and choose a different set top box and get the apple TV to learn that one. I did that as I could then configure the buttons on the Beo4 to do what I wanted - i.e. Yellow is Menu so that it is easier to navigate backwards or exit. Definitely better to try use the inbuilt STBC as when I was using my lintronic it wouldn't do fast scrolling up and down - something about the repeat field in the configuration.
Thanks everyone- I'll give that a try tonight!
Just out out of interest should the IR blaster's red indicator LED flash steadily and continuously? I thought it would just flash when commands are being transmitted. Mine blinks even when I'm not pressing anything.
I don't think it should, I have had some that blink when they are being used and others that don't.
Thanks everyone for your good advice. Andrew, I was hoping to use the remote learn function once I've got the PUC working, so glad to hear it has worked for you. A very clever work around to get a nice key mapping! Sounds like I need to have a chat with my B&O dealer about a possible fault on the PUC. Thanks again, Luke
Dear all, it turns out that my set has the BTB "business to business" module installed. This is really for integration with hotel systems, and prevents the PUC from working as normal apparently. All the best, Luke.
