Beosound 1 type 2582 master code error

Hi all 

 

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping I can find some help in here. I have a beosound 1  type 2582 t that I forgot the pin code and I contacted b&o to get a master code which they sent me. However when I follow the procedure and input the 5 digit when I press store after the fifth digit I get a cue "err" 

 

 

Can anyone help me please to understand what's going on. I double checked with b&o regarding the matter code and it's the correct one 

Have you read page 21 of the user manual? The master PIN procedure is different to the normal PIN input. If not, you can find the manual online if you search Beosound 1 master PIN code.

I did exactly as in page 21 for master code input but it's giving err 

OK. All I can suggest is to ask B&O again or take it to a dealer and see if they can do it.

Unless, you select a source then when it asks for the PIN, you could try the service mode PIN of '11111'. That should give you 12 hours functionality. If that works, the master PIN they gave you may be incorrect!
