Advice, please. Present set up Beovision 11.55, Beolab 2 and 6000s front and rear.  Thinking of changing the front 6000s for 12s.  Given I have a Beolab 2, should I go for the 12.3s or 12.2s?  Which would improve my sound the most?

Thanks

I have two sets of bl12.3, one pair as rears with a bl2 and bv7 and one set as fronts with a bl2 with a bv10.

I put a pair of 12.2s in for a friend again with a bl2 but the choice there was restricted by space.

Given the choice it 12.3s for me. To get the most from them - wall mount them .

I have the alts at ear level.

Thanks. I was thinking of going down the 12.3 route, but will have to have them on a low stand because the TV is on a stand and it might look a bit odd

just the colour now.  My 11 has a silver speaker cover and a black surround. I was thinking of white ones but the wall is off-White, so that might look odd.  I also have a Beosound 9000, so maybe the silver ones would look great, the grey ones don't seem to match anything!  My wife thinks the silver ones are a bit in-your-face!

I nearly bought the white 12.3 last year but ended up with the Beolab 18. I think the white would be fine with off white walls but that's my opinion

You could always take a photo of the room then digitally add the 12.3 into it using photoshop etc to see how it fits. Otherwise ask the dealer to lend it to you for 'testing'

The 12's were obviously launched to compliment the new TVs being launched at the time, the 11 and 12-65. Those TVs came in silver and black, the 12's were launched in silver and white! I never understood that.

Having always been a bit sceptical about them, I had the chance to listen to them in Glasgow's fabulous speaker room. My goodness were they impressive, and with the ability to add a sub at the touch of their iPads button, they certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons on our wish list.Yes - thumbs up

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I find the silver is not obtrusive on my white walls but they are rears and in corners.

I tried the 12s on stands and they deliver better wall mounted.

The other advantage of wall mounting (after knocking holes in it) is a cleaner install and ultimitly easier to hoover/sweep around.

For a bedroom i'm using the 12.2 and they are terrific. Yes, music with hardcore-bass let the protection kick in. But at mediate-high volumes they perform splendid. I do hear the difference with a 3-way speaker and a 2-way like the BL18.
