It has been a long and joyful ride, starting seriously back in 2010 with my first vintage BM 901, bought for USD 20.00 on the US bay, and today I have BL/BM 5000 waiting for pickup in McAllen TX. I have found new friends, gotten a lot of help from other members have been giving help where I could, have participated in discussions about everything from sewing needles to steam engines but mostly B&O, This post just to say thank you to all of you and to Lee and the moderators  for keeping the site alive.

Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.

You've inspired me to restore a beocord 2000 reel to reel, before your thread I didn't even know I wanted one 👍

Yes, always it is the same. You come across people who show you a wonderful thing here and then you find yourself wanting it so badly...

Congratulations on your 5000th post my friend!

Congrats! I would never dare to try to restore anything on my own (! LOL) so my admiration for your wonderful projects is even bigger! ;)

All the more interesting since there are no real Beolab 5000 restore threads yet I think. I was lucky to get mine cheap and fully functional - still is - so I haven't even opened it at all!
