I know nothing about this issue but if I had a Moment I would prefer that the file extension doesn't show? Think it would look a lot better.

Yes, thats my point.

They are not supposed to be shown, and B&O don´t understand why they show on my unit.

Maybe because the extensions are also present in the metadata of the file?

I'm using all flac on a Mac mini.

But as I can see in the picture, you have also flac files who are showing up on the Moment. Don't blame it on the Moment, because I don't see extensions in here, rather blame the Synology NAS. What DLNA server is the Synology running, the iTunes server software that is installed?

If so try Twonky to install and run from the Synology, here is a download page: http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/

I use Synologys own media server, pointed towards the iTunes Media/music folder.

Its rather complicated to install Twonky directly on the NAS, right?

I dont want my iMac on all the time.

As you maybe remember, I had also insuperable problems with my Moment directing to the iTunes directory on the Mac.

So removed completely that iTunes rubbish and started with a new music directory. I'm still buzy ripping all my m4a, aiff, sacd and ape files to flac before I place them in to that directory.

I had a licence for Twonky, I was running the latest 8.02 with no good fast results n the Moment, so downgraded and installed the B&O recommended 7.2.7. But having also a Windows server 2012, in the near future, I will give again that 8.0.2 version a try.

Complicated on the Synology? Never had a nas, so can't be of any help to it. Its linux I think, but you can find a lot of help on the web.

Now having around 100 flac & mp3 albums in the directory, and they all showed up just right! And fast...

@Hiort, Just had a look on the install pages that comes with a Twonky server for Synology software, fairly easy to do...

Chris iTunes is CERTAINLY NOT rubbish. We've run al of our radio stations from it as a master and never once found it unstable. It works seamlessly with DJ Serato, Rekordbox, DJay & Virtual DJ or layout on our Pioneer CDJ decks and Technics SL1210s using Serato vinyl. Never once have we had a problem!

As usual the problem lies with B&O BUT you guys know about their software problems so why on earth do you buy their music players???

A player who not is willing to play one of the most popular formats today as is FLAC and higher definition files anno 2015, is rubbish to me.

Open directory 7.2.7 and you will find beneath the page all available versions from Synology and other NAS brands. Otherwise search in the other directory's to find your type of nas.
