Beosound 4 and Airport Express

Hi Guys!

I'm not a very technical person, which I'm sure you can see from below question - I still hope you'll spend a few minutes helping me out...

I have a beosound 4 connected to beolab 4000, and now I want to get it 'upgraded' for music streaming. I bought an Apple Airport Express, and a cable (@B&O Store). Cable is connected to AUX IN on the Beosound, and Mini Jack in the Express.

I've followed the setup manual for the Express and I have a green light.

But how do I stream my music from my Iphone6? What should the Beosound be set to? Radio, CD, ??

And when I get that right, how will I tell the phone that I want to play on the Beosound and not on the phone?

Swipe upwards from the bottom on the screen on your iPhone, then there is a small square with a triangle in it (AirPlay icon). Press AirPlay and choose your airport express there. Now the sound from your iPhone is sent to your airport express.

I don't know the BS4 well, but I would guess AUX or A.AUX.

Anyone who knows about the Beosound4? I mean when I turn it on ef on radio and then start streaming the radio continue playing. It doesn't have a AUX setting?

 

Sounds like your Beo4 is the version with the A.Mem button and no hard key for A.aux. so you need to add it to the LIST button.

Press LIST then RED + GO and select ADD, then using arrows or list button scroll between the available commands, find A.aux and press GO. now it's added to the LIST button. press EXIT until you are back to normal screen view. Now you can find the A.Aux under LIST and press go to activate.

Alternatively you can on the BeoSound4 press MENU then 3 to select A.AUX

You can add/access 'A.Aux' via Menu -> Setup -> Options (see page 18/User Guide)

Use a Beo4 - add 'A.Aux' from List.

Mange tak - nu har jeg styr på iphone og på Beosound 4. MEN nu kommer der ingen lyd. Jeg finder noget musik på Iphone', vælger Express'en, men ingen lyd.

Stik er som sagt sat AUX IN.

Nogle forslag?

Vælg musik på iphone.

vælg airplay - airport express eller hvad navn du nu har givet din express. Check at tidsindikatoren tæller på din tlf.

(lyser dioden på express grøn?)

nu vælge a.aux kilden på din BS4. (har du sat expressen til AUX IN eller AUX OUT, der er 2 phono (rød/hvid RCA) inputs-outputs i bunden af BS4, vær sikker på at du bruger rigtig indgang

En anden ting du kan prøve er at tilslutte kablet direkte til din iphones høretlf. stik i stedet for expressen - dermed kan du undersøge om der er hun igennem,
