hi trying to restore a beocord 6000 to match my beomaster 600 belts are good the problem is when I press rec-open  it does not show up in the glass panal letting you know its on also the ppm meter the right channel goes all the way to the last red bar where the left channel nothing shows at all same happens to prerecoreded tapes dont get any sound at all ? need some advice what to look for thanks

Hi,

the indicator lamp may be broken (or the button is not working). These are no led's but bulbs for soldering. To open the glass just push the small bar below the glass to the right (use little pressure). Then you can lift it and take it out towards you. 

For the ppm meter is not the only problem, it's the whole switching record - playback section. You should replace the relays!
