Dear members,
I have a question concerning my Beolab 3s. I've figured that 30 on the Beolab 3s that are connected to my Beocenter 1 are not nearly as loud as 30 on my other speakers either connected to my Beovision Avant or Beovision AV 9000. In fact reasonable listening starts roughly at 40. The speakers have just been serviced and are therefore not at fault. Is this normal or a matter of some adjustment of any kind?
Thanks,
Kai
Hi Kai,
I looked up your query - there are no reported issues regarding this. Are you able to compensate for this difference through the speaker setup menu?
Roger
I'm not sure you can equate a volume setting on one B&O device to the same setting on another device. For eaxample, on my Beolab 5000 system, level 1.5 is plenty loud enough for music, but on other Beocenters I need a much higher number. such as 4, 5 or higher.
With TV's, the output is presumably controlled by flashy software (probably really basic software) that adjusts output depending on which defined/named speakers are attached, and how many. There is probably a big difference in this software between the BC1, AV9000 and the Avant.
I have a similar issue with my BV7_55 in that if I play music via the BC9000, I have the volume at about 50. But, if I play music through the exact same speakers but streaming Spotify via my PS3 and the BV7_55, I have to turn the volume way down as at 50, it blows the windows out! So in this case, the source becomes a major driver of what volume I need to set.
Dave.
Thanks very much Dave and Roger. It's not really an issue. I was just wondering...
Cheers,
