How do I refit the fret on the Beolab 3500. One has come loose and I can't work out how to re fit it.

They are pushed outwards to make them come loose. Therefore, you need to put them in place by putting them down a couple of centimeters from their final position and then pushing them back inwards. Can be done within seconds...

Exactly as Kai said, just put them in place just overlapping the ends of the casing slightly, and slide towards the centre. Sometimes the hooks on the frets can be a little bent out of shape, so check this and bend them back into shape first if needed.

It can also be a little tricky to get all the hooks to engage at the same time, so it can be helpful either to have an extra person to press the frets against the casing, or use some elastic bands to hold the frets tight whilst sliding them back into place.

Martin.
