I needed a tighter bass and punchier sound, so I upgraded my Beolab 3+2 to two beolab 9's. The thing is however, I don't feel like I'm getting the ekstra moneys worth. Is the sound quality and power that similar between the two setups?

i'm mostly streaming Spotify high quality from iPhone6 via Playmaker.

Hi! I also have beolab 9 but I am considering going back to beolab 8000 and add a BL2 or the new subwoofer.

I have noticed a high pitch sound from the BL9s that I can't notice from the Internal TV speakers from the same distance. I notice it in my Bl8000 but not as much.

Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2,
BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century,
BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i,
BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40,
BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)

I agree never really grown to love the sound as the top sound from alt is a little piercing

don't know about 20s though

Didn't notice this with the 18s though

I do like the sound of the beolab 9 but somehow they make a noise when idleing that I don't like. Perhaps it is because of the active lens but not sure. I have hyper sensitive hearing so it is easily annoying with sounds like that for me. Going to beolab 8000 plus a subwoofer might be the ideal choice. Or just a subwoofer. The built in speakers in the avant is quite good.
