Hello All,

I tried various searches both of this forum and the rest of the Internet but I had trouble coming up with an answer to my issue.  I recently received a BeoMaster 5500 and BeoGram 5500 as a hand-me-down.  They're very nice and, based on testing them with my headphones, seem to still work perfectly.

They were wired to a set of PSB Stratus Bronze speakers at my grandparents house which was being sold.  Unfortunately, the wiring went through the wall and couldn't be pulled out (additionally, my parents did not have the forethought to cut the sockets from the cable for future use).

The B&O manual indicates that the speaker has a pair of Speakers 1 outputs with a four pin connectors (2 circles top left and right, 1 flat middle, 1 circle bottom center) and a pair of Speakers 2 outputs with a three pin connectors (1 circle top left, 1 flat middle center, 1 circle bottom center).

The Speakers seem to each have speaker wire connectors:

I'm trying to figure out what sort of cable I need (or socket and cable that I need to wire together?) to connect the BeoMaster 5500 to the speakers.  Any advice or links to what I need to look into buying or building would be much appreciated!

Hi,

you just need standard 2-pin din connectors to connect non-B&O speakers, something like:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bang-Olufsen-Type-Speaker-Cables-2Pin-DIN-Male-5ft-Pair-/381377424552?hash=item58cbddaca8

The 3-pin and 4-pin outputs on you 5500 are for connecting B&O link-room or speaker link (Penta) products.

Good luck,

Bill
