Hello Beoworlders!

My wife recently noticed that  the BS3200 in  our living room don´t react with the Beo4 remote.

Don't now what´s wrong? it´s connected to a Beovision 4-50 (Beosystem 3) that works fine with video-command (a.tv,dvd/bluray,dtv), but nothing happen with audio-command (radio,a.mem,cd, a.aux)

But in our lounge we can control the BS3200 with no problem and get the sound to our Beovision 3-32. In the living room the Beovision is set to option 2 and the BS3200 is set to option 0.

The thing is that we haven't change anything, so we don't understand why this have happen. We have also unplug all the mains, still the same problem.

Anyone know what might happen?

Hi

You state that the BeoSound 3200 is in option 0. This is the correct setting if it is connected to BeoSystem 3 and you have NO speakers connected directly to the BeoSound 3200.

When in option 0 you disable the infra red sensor as you need all ir commands to be routed via the video master, in this case your BeoSystem 3.

Can you unplug the Masterlink cable between the BeoSound 3200 and BeoSystem3 whilst the system is powered off. If you can't try another Masterlink cable, re-insert the existing one and ensure it is fully plugged in before powering up the system again.

I forgot to ask in first reply, what option programme have you set the BeoVision 3 in? This should be option 6 if it is link TV with access to audio as well.

Thanks Opman!

I have tried all the things you told me, but with no luck Sad

3 hours ago, me and some friend were going to se a movie (the burning) oldie but goldie Big Smile and the beosystem was completely dead, not even a red standby lamp. I still have warrenty on the BS3 so no big worry, but very annoying and don't feel very safe for the future Crying

Unplugged the mains again, but nothing. And then suddenly it start to work, even the BS3200 now play everything. Strange, but glad we could se the movie, and now I'm enjoying my music again Big Smile

But i think i have to talk to my dealer about what he thinks of this.

Thanks again Opman Smile

I'd say: a faulty MasterLink connection.

Could a faulty MasterLink connection make the beosystem3 not work?

I have had all kinds of odd things going on in a setup, when there was a 'faulty' ML connection somewhere.

Listen to what Opman wrote above - he is someone, who knows about these things.

Check (and double-check) your ML cable(s)/connections/junction-boxes!!
