Hi all.

I do have 2 Beosound 9000´s, one of them is Type 2561 and the other one is Type 2571.

Is it possible to swap the CD units, i was thinking like connectors and other stuff ?

One of them has a fully functional cd unit but a faulty lid opener :(

The other one has fully functional lid opener but a faulty cd unit :(

Or should i just get them both repaired by a shop as i am kind of clumpsy sometimes.

Mk2's, and possibly mk1's could have the cd replaced with mk3 cd units, but the drive and suspension are different, so the upgrade kit came with other springs and a complete new drive.

if it is the MK1 that has a defect cd drive, then it needs a new CDM 12.4 laser, which can still be found. If it is the MK3, it needs a laser that is not possible to get, unless buying from B&O.

What is wrong with the lid ? Belts should be possible to get and replace.

If you cannot do it your self, I think the price of letting a dealer or service place do it,  will be pretty high.
