Just got the new BLGW, and having some issues understanding the setup process. Before I hade the Mlgw, and could browse the BS5 through the BeoLink app, that’s not the case with the BLGW, maybe a setup fault. I also have the Blc Nl/Ml and it is set to A.slave..is this correct ? Don’t even know if this is possible, but should I not be able to control the BS5 with the BRoneBT through the Eclipse to BLGW ? What option should the BS5 be in, Audio Master and so on. Hope it make sense.
Peter
followup, let me rephrase that, what I am asking, is it possible to send ML commands to the BS5 through the BLGW via Eclipse with the BeoRemote One BT ?
Beovision eclipse 65, Beolab 50, Beolab 18, Beovision 11, Beolab 3, Beolab 2, BeoVision 10, MLGW, BeoLink converter Nl/Ml, Beosound 5, BLGW
Beojeff should now this, do you still have your BS5, or did finally get rid of it ?
peter
I still have my BS5, but I mostly just use it as a server for my 2 Moments. What you need to do is add the NL/ML Converter as one of your 2 NL products from which to borrow sources on your Eclipse. Then, you can see the sources from the NL/ML on your Eclipse. You can't set the Converter as a slave -- that's just for using it with speakers in a link room. You would set the Converter as V.Master and use the BS5 as A.Master and then map the sources in the configuration.
Thanks Jeff, I will try that..I did get the Beosound 5 to show up with covers and all in the BLGW. If I set the converter to V.Master will I still be abel to pull the cd sources to the BV 11 in my bedroom? By the way, I linked the hue light to the BLGW, and now the light changes with sources on the eclipse very cool
It should work just fine. I'm presuming that the BV11 lets you borrow sources from 2 other NL products just like my BeoSystem 4 does. If the NL/ML Converter is one of those 2 NL products, you will see the sources as available on the tv.
What other ML devices do you have? As long as you don't have an ML tv that you want to serve an v.master, you're fine setting the NL/ML Converter as V.Master. However, if you wanted to have an ML TV serve as V.Master, you would have to set the NL/ML Converter as Source Center -- which limits your sources.
You can actually have MULTIPLE NL/ML converters each connected to an ML audio system. You then use one of those converters as the one connected to the "main" ML network. The sources from all of the other converters can be mapped to the converter that you use for the "main" ML network.
I do have a Beovision 10 in the kitchen. I use the CD and radio from the BS5 in the living room, but that’s all masterlink anyway, so shouldn’t be affected.
Hi Jeff, the Beovision 10 is in option 6, but i can’t reach it from the app. Not a funktion that I need anyway, as I use the Beo 4 in the kitchen. I don’t think you have the Eclipse, as this is not a real Nl product, you cannot control the BLGW on the tv screen, like you can on the Avant. I have the BS5 connected to the Toslink on the Eclipse, better sound then the analog signal from the ML/NL converter. So my problem still is, that I cannot control the BS5 with the BRone, only from the Beolink App. Question still remains, can the BLGW not send ML commands to the BS5 via the Eclipse and BeoRemote one BT ?
The Eclipse doesn't let you link to 2 other NL products in the setup via the setup? On my BeoSystem 4, this is done under the "Product Integration" section of the BeoSystem 4 setup. That way, you can add sources from 2 other NL products.
No, the Eclipse lets you add the BLGW in the menu, from the TV screen you can then access Zones, ie control Hue lights and Macros from the BLGW. On my BV11, it’s different, there I can see both the Eclipse and the ML/NL converter, but not the BLGW.
