I am assuming this person has been smoking something?
I wouldn't pay that for ones that are new old stock with new replaced drivers from B&O in totally perfect condition with a free beocenter 9000 thrown in.
Let alone a pair that has horrible graphics and a terrible looking orange swirl!
Welcome to Beoworld and I agree. Not to my tastes either. They have featured several of these 'customised' and horrendously overpriced speakers for a while now. Look at their other items for mixed fret colours, graphics and paint jobs. They must be bored is my only conclusion.

it's a bit like when you walk past the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane and see a "wrapped" Rolls Royce or Bugatti and just ask why...
a lot of thought and time went into these products at the design stage, CX100 = Jacob Jensen, which included colour coding, and then this happens..
I have no issue pimping up an Amstrad or Peugeot but lets leave such to the true professionals.

Interesting...ugly but interesting. Back in the day that finish was called engine turning, take metal, use a rotary grinding bit, flat, to score multiple overlapping circles on metal and then cover with glossy clear coat paint. Was used a lot in making car dashboards on hot rods. I think the guy's been breathing too many paint fumes if he thinks those are worth that much.
